Kim ďDocĒ Goff was raised in Fredericksburg Texas, and knows the Fredericksburg values and what the people of Fredericksburg expect from their mechanic. Doc has always liked mechanics; he started as a child working on bicycles and then became interested in cars and started tinkering with them after school and on weekends. In high school he took two years of auto mechanics and knew what he wanted to do after he graduated. He worked in a dealership for 10 years and during this time Doc started doing jobs for customers at his home. This grew enough that he was able to open his own shop. He found a location to rent and then found his present location for sale. He moved to this location in 1991. He has owned his own shop for over 20 years. Doc is very diversified in all areas of auto mechanics.

Docís roots go way back his great-great grandfather settled in Fredericksburg in 1890. He homesteaded property here and it is still in the family today. Some of Docís fondest memories are of helping his grandfather work on tractors and farm equipment when he was growing up. Doc and his wife Tina inherited a portion of the homestead in 1999 and built their home on this property. Tina and Doc have been married for over 30 years and she helps in the office and with parts runs. They have one son Kerry.

Doc bought the property on Tivydale Road in 1991, and has expanded the building since purchasing it. He started with three bays and had expanded the shop to five bays to accommodate his expanding business. Doc has many long time customers and is now seeing 2nd generation customers. Some of the comments that the customers make are that Doc is honest, trustworthy and reliable he does not make repairs that do not need to be done. Some of his most loyal repeat customers are the widows who have found what a trustworthy job Doc turns out.
